Tips Before Baby Arrives

Tips Before Baby Arrives

Publicado por BMaxx Marketing en

The excitement, relief, anxiousness, and fluster that comes with knowing that it's almost time for the baby to arrive into this world and have their first "welcome home." We know that there might be so much to do and prepare beforehand, and that's why we're here.

We're going to go over some excellent ideas and tips to add to a list of things to focus on to prepare for the arrival of your little one. Let's go!!

A Support System

The first few months of motherhood can be somewhat challenging. It might also seem sort of isolating at times. Having a support system of friends and family to be there throughout will help you so much. We understand that not everyone has family around or close friends, making things even harder. Please know if you are without people close to you, there are groups all over the internet and IRL that will be there for you just the same. Peanut is an app that you can use to meet other mother's out there to share knowledge, tips, and experiences.

Organize & Set-Up

We spend a lot of time going over the themes and color scheme of the nursery. That being said, we sometimes forget to put enough focus on making sure it's set up and full of everything you need to make your time more manageable. It will also help the baby's life cozier too.

At least six weeks before your due date, we recommend having everything set up, situated, and ready for the baby. Six weeks allows you the time to set up leisurely without feeling rushed, not to mention, babies can throw us through a loop when we least expect it, even while they're growing.

Items To Add To The Nursery

If it's possible to add the following items to the nursery or home, you'll appreciate it, as will your baby.

A Crib & Crib Mattress

Glider or Rocking Chair

Changing Station

Baby Monitor W/ Video

Black-out Curtains

Diapers (various sizes) & Wipes

A Weeks Supply of Onesies (infant & next size up)

PJs (Footies)

Swaddle Blankets

Nursing Supplies

Basically, everything and anything that you need on hand to care for your little one should be right there, easy access.

Now, set up the rest of your home as well!

A nursery is excellent, but who spends all their time in there? Make sure you've got various areas of the home set up with some supplies. It doesn't have to be fully loaded, but having diapers, wipes, cream, extra clothes, and things of that nature around the house makes things simpler when in tough times. Pregnancy, birth, and raising a little one can wear one down.

Stock up on any essential items. Laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, and little things like that are good to have on hand. You don't want to run out of the essentials while in the middle of changing your baby's outfit or bedding. The less stress and hassle, the better.

Stock items at easy access levels for yourself. After birth, it's not good to be squatting, lifting, and reaching too much. In some cases, it's not even possible. Try to consider anything you might need to access if you're home alone with the baby. Swaddle a life-like weighted baby doll to see how life would be while you're carrying your precious baby around. Any struggles that arise can be eliminated before the real baby arrives.

Every step you can take towards a smooth transition is going to be beneficial. Make your space as comfortable as possible; it will ease tension, stress, and frustration. Welcome to motherhood!
